technical impediments to getting my geeky music fix
According to teh internets, The incomparable Molly joined Jonathan Coulton and Paul And Storm on stage at a show in Seattle, Washington for a couple of tunes the other night.
Thankfully, there is ample Youtube coverage of the event, though I am currently unable to view said footage, as I am behind a flash-video blocking firewall at work, and have so far been unable to connect to the hotel wireless network with my laptop this week.
Apparently the upgrade to Ubuntu 8.04 (“Hairy Hard-…”, uh, “Hardy Heron”) futzed everybody’s Dell wireless cards. It worked fine on my router at home on Sunday though, so I’m a little confused. Still, I have a couple of things to try this evening to get back on track. In the future, however, I’ll wait a couple of weeks before upgrading to the new OS release.
In the meantime, I feel like one of those GTAIV fans who had their Xbox 360 go “red ring of death” this weekend.
Of course, my lovely wife is taunting me via email as she watches the videos at home, telling me how good they are. She’s such a tease…
EDIT: – I managed to band-aid my driver issue by running off the old kernel – I have internet, yay! Oh, and here’s a whole playlist of Molly/JoCo videos! Enjoy!
