Prog-Rock Astrology

I drew one of the crappy cars in the fleet this week, so I was unable to directly jack my mp3 player into the dash-mounted radio for the ride to DC. Rather than deal with the succession of low-power Jesus FM stations encroaching on the FM modulator once Morning Edition was over, I found an old, beat-to-hell-and-back-again CD-R copy of Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon in the bottom of my backpack to entertain me as I trudged up I-95.

I began to feel something dark and ominous looming when I found that both “Time” and “Money” were both scratched up to almost beyond recognition, but “Us and Them” came through loud and clear. Were I more superstitious person, I’d think that the radio gods were trying to tell me something.

If I suddenly become harried, destitute, and paranoid any time soon, I’ll be sure to let you know.
