jam formation – random links and observations to keeps one’s spirits up
After a terribly crappy couple of days, I’ve managed to almost feel human for most of the day, thanks mostly to getting that meeting with the VIPs from the production floor about our (admittedly kickass) report out of the way. It even went kind of well. I know this feeling won’t last, though. Too much other stuff is floating about.
Even if the feeling’s fleeting, I still feel better than yesterday, which was pretty damned terrible. I believe “the walking dead” was the term my wife used. I pretty much just passed out on the couch watching Gilmore Girls, and was in bed by 8:30pm.
It’s still “laugh to keep from cryin'” week, so here’s some observational and linky humor that might make you laugh a little bit…

Our workspace here is festooned with televisions, that, when they aren’t used for the occasional closed-circuit broadcast, are generally muted and tuned to one of the 24 hour cable news channels. Today, as I walked by one on my way to the rest room, I caught a glance at an image of Senators Edwards, Clinton, and Obama, each holding a mic and standing, apparently, together. Until I realized they were using a three-way splitscreen (tough to see, as all were standing in front of similar black backgrounds), I thought the Singing Senators reformed with a new liberal bent and a lot less foot tapping.

And finally, spend some time perusing all the obvious (and not so obvious) puns present on the International Rollergirls’ Master Roster. “Lil Bo Peep Show”, “Anarchy Kournikova”, “Mary-Ate Ashley”, “Anya the Bunny Slayer” “Rhoda Ruin” and “Slammah Montana” are all taken, but, as my sister points out, “Anita Getsum” is up for grabs.
And…I’m spent. Back to the scheduling. argh.
