friday random ten: “my nose doesn’t work” edition

I spent a few days pretty sick this week; not at all fun. My senses of smell and taste were completely hosed; for almost 48 hours, I could only smell ammonia, with alarming acuity; dealing with a potty training infant was not a pleasant thing. I’m still not well, but at least I can taste things, and am pretending I’m healthy, hoping it leads to some sort of thought-to-reality transmutation.
Plans for the weekend? Pretend I’m healthy eough to get out to the local moving picture house to see Coraline; a film for which my entire household is rightfully very excited.
