okay, Nana, you were asking for pictures of the baby; here’s the little eight and a half pounder (according to the pediatrician today) in her little pink penguin outfit:
Six weeks old and already evangelizing for the open source community.
And look, I’m typing with eight fingers – diagnosis change on the arm; might have chipped a bone in the wrist, not the hand; I have a cast with the fingers free, and very little pain. Yay. They want me in for a CT scan on it to see if they missed anything (which feels excessive, but worth checking), but I think I’ll live, and be good as new, more or less, in a couple of weeks…at least until I start having carpal tunnel problems in 10 or 15 years; still, no escaping that, being a 20 year guitar player and typing all day for a living.
I think I’m going to paint a skull on it or something…
Oh, and the financial news scares me a little less after finding out that that stupid adjustable rate mortgage I refinanced into five years ago isn’t going to screw me; it went up, but only to where it was before the refinance; I still saved several thousand dollars in the last five years; If we unload this place in a year, we’ll still be ahead of the game.
