nothing to see here
The weekend; it certainly happened.
The good news is I went out shopping and even found toilet paper for sale on Saturday morning. The bad news is that I went out shopping and continued to lose faith in my humanity (for all the same reasons I’ve described in past posts), and while I was out, I breathed in all sorts of pollen because it’s tree mating season in these parts, and spent much of Saturday afternoon zonked on allergy meds, because my head really hurt.
Other than that trip out, I spent the rest of the weekend at home, like we’re supposed to. I read two and a half novels (thank the maker for my local library system supporting the borrowing of ebooks for the kindle), played some more Witcher, and made General Tso’s chicken for dinner on Sunday.
This week’s just back to the normal grind; going to try to avoid going out for anything until my usual Wednesday or Thursday beer/pantry fill run, depending on which comes first: my virus stimulus payment (the deposit is currently showing “pending” in my online banking app) or my regular paycheck. Otherwise, it’s trying to be productive* from the home office with the cat during business hours, read more books, maybe play some video games, and cook with what I have on hand, doing my best to keep pace with my friends on social media while not looking too hard at the headlines, because depressing.
And that’s okay.
