Another chance for Mr. Gorsky?
Coming up on the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing, NASA is releasing never-released footage of the landing, which was presumed lost (it wasn’t initially released because the special camera used a high-quality format incompatible with commercial TV broadcasts).
This, friends, is really pretty cool stuff, especially if you’re a fan of the space program.
My question now is: “When are we going to go back and set up permanent shop there?” For those that argue that it’s a waste of time and money, I’d counter that besides all the potential for scientific discoveries and the valuable experience we’d get at maintaining bases of operations in remote, hostile environments, I can also offer some of the the same reasoning people used 40 years ago:
To prove that we can.
