all-time record, day seven
This past Saturday morning, before heading out on adventures, I checked in, as I do, on social media, and found myself tagged by a friend with this:
Day X of 10 of my all-time favorite albums. 10 days. What really made an impact and is still on your rotation list, even if only now and then. Post the cover, no need to explain, and nominate a person each day to do the same. Nominated by XXXXXX, I now nominate XXXXXXX

Day Seven: The Badlees – River Songs (1995)
my cutout racks review from a few years back
If you know me, you know that this record, and this band, are pretty damned important and defining to me. I’ve worn out copies, seen these guys hundreds of times, sang along, shared drinks, and so many other things over the years. Yeah. I’m not sure what else to say. It’s solid, transformative, and should have been the biggest hit record in the world, but things didn’t line up quite right. Oh well, that’s how life works. All told, though, I’m still glad I found it; it’ll fill that role for me forever.
But thanks to a certain TV show, the title will probably make most of my geek friends think of this:
…and that’s okay too.
