an early christmas present
On Tuesday, I put in an order for one of this year’s “family” Christmas presents, dropping six figures’ worth of hotel reward points on a PlayStation 3. I put in the order now because a few years ago, it took this particular outfit about eight weeks to ship me an ipod, and wanted to give it plenty of time.
So, of course, as I’m sitting around early Friday afternoon, the FedEx guy comes by and drops it on my doorstep (waking Catherine up with the doorbell in the process).
Guess what I’ve been doing this weekend? If you said shooting the portal gun all over Aperture Science enrichment facilities, you’d win some cake.
Of course, I’m shooting said portal gun in standard definition, because the HDMI cable I ordered (five bucks online, seventy at Best Buy !) on Thursday hasn’t shown up yet. My timing sucks.
I’m still having fun, though. I just need to find a really good Japanese-style RPG to keep me busy; and shift my media purchase over to Blu-Ray.
So, uh, yay me.
