back to life…damn.

So, today’s the day when we all get back to our regular things once again. I’m back at work (and on the road), the kids are back at school, the world returns to normal.
While as a creature of routine, I mostly like “normal”, I’d honestly rather just be back sitting on my couch playing with the baby right now, instead of killing a few minutes in the hotel room before heading over to the office.
This particular holiday break was one of the better ones in recent memory; No pressure, no driving unless I wanted to, and getting to sleep in my bed every night. It was really peaceful and mostly stress-free; I actually lost track of what day it was a couple of times; that was nice.
