eh, I’m back
Except for the dog waking me up at 4am this morning, I do believe that I’m feeling pretty close to human this morning after my procedure Friday morning. According to the medical team, I’m still not supposed to pick up anything heavier than about ten pounds for another couple of days, but overall, I’m feeling pretty good, other than some itching around the stitches.
Yesterday I was back at work, and all was well (except for occasionally feeling like a set of these), with only 32 emails waiting for me after my week in class (the “out of office” notifier does work after all), and the usual systemic headaches, but it was work enough to distract me from the itching.
For the weekend, I spent it pretty much completely on my behind, on the couch, watching stuff from the DVD collection, which was nice for the first two days, but got really old by Sunday afternoon, but, to avoid problems down the road, I followed (and continue to follow) doctors orders.
All I ask is that Colleen hold off having the baby until maybe Friday (she scared me a bit Sunday night reacting to those particular symptoms that Dr. John Braxton Hicks identified in 1872), so I can be of some help and stay within my doctor’s recommendations.
It seems, my friends, we’re getting close. Were I a gambling man, I’d put money on my announcing a birth before the end of next week.
