We’re sending Andrew off to school this morning with a crisp stack of 100 individual emails, thanks, in large part, to a lot of you folks who read this drivel I write. Andrew had a lot of fun reading everyone’s messages, will send out his own “thank you” message to the assembled messengers at some point this week, but in the meantime, let me say “thanks!” in his stead.

That wrapped, The rest of this week was almost quiet; As I’d mentioned earlier (I think), I came home from DC early last week, laden with fresh new bedding from IKEA, originally planning to take my wife out for her birthday gift; the Indigo Girls show at the Byrd Theater.

What I hadn’t realized until Tuesday, thanks to my access to email being down for much of last week from the work site, was that due to illness, the Girls had to postpone their show.

Oh well; once they get around to rescheduling this thing, our tickets will still be honored, they just need to get around to scheduling things. I hope it falls on a non-travel week.

The weekend was reasonably staid, mostly dedicated to laundry, bills, usual chores, checks on the gmail box, and playstation and gamecube sessions. I also spent a little bit of time working on a sorta-top-secret-maybe web design project I’m taking on, and mulling over ideas a friend sent my way talking about American tax policy. Yay.

Sunday afternoon got a little more eventful, as we carted the family over to The Playroom for birthday party for one of the kids’ friends. Two hours in an enclosed space with lots of screaming kids. Not my idea of a good time, but the kids had fun with the toys and big inflate-y things.

I’m glad it’s over.

This week looks pretty standard so far; with the exception of the “Potomac Primary” on Tuesday, where my vote will count quite a lot in the scheme of things. Hooray for the 50-state strategy.
