Friday Random Ten – “paving day” edition
After being stood up by paving guy number one, and once last night by paving guy number two, the owner of Harrison Paving (that’s company number two) came by this morning, apologized for last night’s mishap, and offered me a good price well within my budget (and should leave me enough left over in the home improvement account to get started on the next little project!).
And, he can start work within the hour. No longer shall visiting vehicles bottom out when pulling in! I am so happy to be able to finally exchange my shiny gold rocks for services involving less shiny rocks. I was beginning to think that the paving industry just wasn’t interested in my business!
Oh yeah, I’m off today. Catherine and I are hanging out while Colleen chaperones Andrew’s school field trip. Once the paving guys get rolling, Catherine and I are planning to go out shopping; we need some things, and getting the car and stuff out of the way is probably for the best.
