Friday Random Ten: pre-road trip edition
After work and school today, Mary and I are heading up to Alexandria to catch the Jonathan Coulton show at the Birchmere. I’m sure that for the drive up, she’ll insist on a near-constant repeat of “Code Monkey” and “Ikea”, but perhaps we might manage to work some other tunes into the mix. At that point, the ipod might prove useful. Perhaps one of these tunes might pop up again this evening:
- “Tainted Love” – Me First and the Gimme-Gimmes
- “Frankie and Johnnie” – Johnny Cash
- “Floating City” – Y Kant Tori Read
- “Johnny” – Innocent Nixon
- “Racing in the Street” – Patty Griffin
- “Your Misfourtune” – Mike Doughty
- “Beth” – KISS
- “Keeper of My Heart” – Indigo Girls
- “Stop” – Spice Girls
- “Shake It Up” – The Cars
Bonus: “The Freaks Come Out at Night” – Whodini. Because I can hear it playing loudly from one of the other cubes right now.
Oh – some of you observant folks might have noticed that I’ve shaken up the links to the right → a bit, dropping some, adding others, and changing where at least one of them points to, without changing the title. Who knows, digging around over there might be worth your time.
And send some good mojo over to my wife, who’s feeling a little under the weather today!
