friday random ten – “workin’ through the tryptophan coma” edition
23 Nov
As usual, I’m working on <scarequotes>BLACK FRIDAY</scarequotes>, as I figure it’s only fair to give everyone else their long weekend since I’m not going anywhere special. Then I don’t feel at all awful about taking my week-plus at Christmas/New Years and leaving some other lucky stiff with the duty of sticking around in case of emergencies.
Oh well, I got the best damned parking place inside the gates this morning; it’s not all bad.
I hope you’re enjoying your shopping experiences in retail hell, or, if you’re one of the smart ones with the day off, sleeping in.
Here’s the soundtrack of my life today:
- “Bastards of Young” – The Replacements
- “Keep on Lovin’ You” – The Donnas
- “Leaving Las Vegas” – Sheryl Crow
- “I Just Died in Your Arms” – Cutting Crew
- “Cleaning Out My Closet” – Eminem
- “Three Little Pigs” – Green Jello
- “Nobody Gonna Break My Stride” – Matthew Wilder
- “Better Off Without You (live)” – The Clarks
- “I Was Made For Lovin’ You (live)” – KISS
- “Blackberry Road” – Greg Overton
Slept in, no plans for shopping today, well, yet anyway. Maybe later when the mad rush has gone…Missed you guys yesterday! I guess we’ll be seeing you in a month…and three days 🙂
November 23rd, 2007 at 9:51 AMHave a good Friday!
Went out (with all 3 kids) and bought a new Christmas Tree. It actually wasn’t that bad out.
