If you’re at all outraged…
Please have the common courtesy to understand what you’re outraged about.
Paul Krugman pointed out a story the other day about a ‘concerned citizen’ in a South Carolina town hall meeting telling his congressman to “keep your hands off of my Medicare“.
Yes, you read that right. Sigh.
If this guy’s correct (and for those missing the sarcasm, he clearly isn’t, since Medicare is a single-payer government health care system in place since 1965) I’ll have to see exactly what Mr. FICA is doing with all that money he skims off the top of my paycheck every other Friday.
In any case, however you feel about the prospect of public health care (which is actually a startlingly good idea in my opinion), or any other issue Glenn Beck told you get all frothy and outraged about you might be concerned about, please take a moment or two to research things before making a fool of yourself in a public forum.
That goes for you too, Congresspeople.
