Pining for the Fjords
You know the Democratic primary season has been wearing on too long when not one, but two “respectable” media outlets have likened Hillary Clinton’s campaign to a Monty Python skit. Oh, and PythOnline had something as well, so five three instances. At least. I suspect there are probably more.
But none of them repeat the same joke. There are three distinctly different skit references here. I’ll allow you to draw your own conclusions as to whether this speaks to the timeless quality of Python’s writing, or the comedy inherent in Clinton’s campaign of late.
In closing:
“Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony!”
I, for one, am feeling a little moist.
In many ways, I rather like that the primary has plodded on so long, making the votes of the late primary states at least feel like they matter.
Ol’ Tarquin Fintimlinbinwhinbim Bus Stop F’tang F’tang Ole Biscuit-Barrel (Silly Party) would be proud.

i’d say it’s a bit of both.
