spinning wheels, going nowhere

I generally really like my job.
I do interesting and challenging work; solving problems, and coming up with new ways for people to perform tasks more effectively. Most days at closing time, I can point to at least one thing I’m proud of having accomplished.
Then there are days like today, when all I do is sit in on meetings that have nothing to do with the job at hand, and wish I could just get back to doing something productive instead of wasting time talking about literal low-hanging limbs.
I’m really glad today’s over; hopefully tomorrow will be a better experience.
