they must really not want our business…
we’ve been going back and forth with the flooring company about getting the bathroom floor measured for new vinyl for over a week now. It was two weeks ago I originally asked them to send somebody over. Colleen, in dropping off the samples yesterday afternoon, actually spoke to the measuring guy, who said that he’d be by “sometime this weekend” to do the job.
The whole “sometime this weekend” thing kind of grinds my gears anyway; there are things that need to get done, and I can’t be hanging around all day on the off chance that the guy who said he’d be coming by last week but didn’t might show up today. Argh. I just called the place to see if I could nail things down to a window narrower than 48 hours, and got the machine. Double argh.
The thing is, I really like this company; they did a really nice, pretty quick, and nicely affordable job with our carpet last year; I couldn’t have been happier. I guess a bathroom just isn’t worth it to them. I’ll give him another half-hour today (we’ve already done everything around the house, basically, that we wanted to do anyway – mop the floor, clean the fish tanks, PAINT THE WALLS IN THE BATHROOM (and the paint fumes, are, frankly, getting to me). I need to get out of here; there’s some shopping to do, and I could really use a good burger, one that someone else will make for me, you know?
that’s it from here for now…I’m kind of curious if anybody’s reading this; so if you are, drop a comment – signing up is completely optional.
