Now, a couple of programming notes about site functionality:
♦ – I dumped the guestbook application; it had collected nothing but spam ads for valtrex, handbags, and penis enlargement for most of the last year, and honestly, I didn’t feel like dealing with it anymore. So, good riddance. If you want to leave your mark ’round here, comment on a post, ‘kay?
♦ – I added a sub-page for social networks to the sidebar (I had to fill the hole the guestbook left with something; my OCD couldn’t take a change in the proportional size of the box). Other than twitter, I’m not a huge fan of these things, but anymore, they’re almost a necessary evil. So, if you want to see my skeletal presence on mybook or facespace, there are links there, all in one place, as well as a little commentary on the whole “be my friend” phenomenon, assuming you care.
♦ – I started the 2010 Year in Books list. Same place as before, no biggie. There’s almost enough information now to do a trend analysis.
