Now that Colleen’s feeling better, and Catherine’s had a day to start figuring out what life on the outside is like, I got to spend a little more time with the kid today, including changing my first diaper in who knows how many years. At least it doesn’t smell yet.

We had Mary take this picture of me and the baby (don’t know why my head’s washed out, and I wasn’t quite ready, but, that’s not really important….), and while setting up the photo and looking at things, I got to thinking about relative size.

41.666 times bigger

According to a very basic estimation of weight, I am about 40 times larger than this little person, who is actually shorter than my forearm. Here’s the super-fancy zoom/enhancement:

Oh well – small equals cute, right? In the meantime, I’m going to be slightly nervous about handling someone so small. At least for a few weeks.
