thursday – the assault of cuteness continues –
-since we’re all feeling a bit better today, I’ll actually write something rather than just slap up some cute baby pictures….but don’t worry, you’ll get one of those, too-
The kids and I got an earlier start this morning over to the hospital, as we were meeting Nana and Aunt Jen along the way at the local lodgings they took Wednesday evening near the hospital so they could stop in for a quick visit. After a spot of breakfast, we hit the hospital before lunchtime and had a nice visit with Colleen (who’s feeling much, much better today, which greatly improves my general outlook on life) and Catherine, who remains almost intolerably cute (and notably oblivious to the noise made by her older brother and sister).
We hung around for a little while, visiting and cooing and shooting photos (mostly mom and jen – if there are good ones, please send ’em my way!) before seeing the visiting ladies off on their trek back north on schedule to miss the various rush hours on the way.
With luck, we’ll be able to welcome mother and child back home tomorrow morning, so the kids and I spent (well, mostly I spent, but they helped a bit) the afternoon working to get the finishing touches on Catherine’s little corner of the house (which is actually a largish corner of our bedroom, at least initially) so we’re a little more ready for her.
We ended up swinging back to the hospital this evening, to visit a bit more, drop off a cell phone charger (you always forget one thing, don’t you?), and bring a few things back home ahead of final departure.
While we were there this evening, the hospital paparazzi came by hawking “first photo” baby packages, which we’ll be doing (seems an easy way to get pretty hard copy pictures out for family and such). Once I get a good web nursery link, I’ll post it here (or, you could search that link there -she’s not posted yet as I type this) Here’s the web nursery link.
Anyway – That’s the day – I’ve got a little laundry to fold, then I’m going to actually try to get to sleep early – this nice thunderstorm passing through ought to help me relax.
Oh – the one really good shot I got today (out of five or six I shot – not a bad percentage for me, really, and this one’s certainly prettier than that one of me yesterday) for your viewing pleasure – the girls getting to know each other:
